1) Fullara Devi Temple (Attahas)

Address: Labpur -Bakul

West Bengal 731303

Location: The shaktipeeth is located only 3 km from Labpur railway Station (LBP), District Birbhum. Labpur is small station rare Express train and only some Passenger trains stops here.  So, the nearest 'big' station is Ahmadpur,  about 13.1 km. 

Nearest Railway Station: Labpur (LBP  - 3km). Nearest Junction: AHMADPUR JN- AMP  (13.1 km) Kolkata (international airport) is about 146 km from Fullara shaktipeeth.

Accommodation: Some small hotels are available near the Temple but a Good stay can only be found in Suri (35 km). Star stay is available 70  km far in Bardhaman.

2) Kankalitala Temple

Address: Kankalitala, Bolpur 

Dist Birbhum, West Bengal 731204


Location: This shaktipeeth is located near the Fullara Devi shaktipeeth (18.7 km). The nearest city is Bolpur (BHP  -10 km). Bolpur is a subdivision under Birbhum district of West bengal.

Nearest Railway Station: BOLPUR S NIKTN- BHP

3) Bakreshwar Devi Temple


Address: Bakreshwar is a town in the Suri Sadar subdivision of Birbhum district 


Location: Bakreshwar (also called Vakreshwar), is a small town near Dubrajpur Railway Station (11 km) in Birbhum district, subdivision of Suri (Suri Sadar). 

Nearest Railway Station: Dubrajpur is a small railway station (DUBRAJPUR- DUJ    -11 km), nearest big station is Suri (SIURI- SURI   -21 km). 

• One way is to can take Express train till Suri and from Suri take taxi direct to Bakreshwar . 

• Another way is to take Passenger train to Dubrajpur then Bus/taxi to Bakreshwar.

4) Kalighat Temple

Location: This temple is located in Kalighat region of Metropolitan city Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal.  Kalighat is densely populated and one of the oldest neighborhoods in West Bengal. Kalighat get its name from Kalighat Temple. Kalighat Temple is one of the most famous temples of Kolkata as well as West Bengal.

Nearest Railway Station: The temple is 500 m away from Kalighat Metro Station. Distances from Railway Stations are as follows:-

• Sealdah Railway Station  (SHM) -   7.4 km   ( 14 mins appox.)

5) Kiriteswari Temple (known as "Kirit")

Address: Kiriteswar, West Bengal 742104

Location: Kirit shaktipeeth is located near the bank of Hoogly River, on the other side of Hoogly River (Ganga river), there is a city named 'Azimganj'. From Azimganj Junction Kiriteshwar Temple is about 10  km. 

Nearest Railway Station: The closest railway station from Kirit shaktipeeth is Lalbagh Court Road (LALBAGH CRT RD-   LCAE). However, this railway station is very small, selected train stop here, the Nearest Junctions are:-

• Azimganj Junction (AZ) - 10 km                14 mins
• Murshidabad Railway Station (MBB) - 20 km      49 mins

8) Nandikeshwari Temple (Nandini Devi)

Address: Sainthia, West Bengal 731234

Location: Earlier the temple is located in Nandipur village (the village was named after the temple). Sainthia is a small temple town, which is now quiet developed because of this temple.

Nearest Railway Station:

• SAINTHIA- SNT Railway Station (1.5-2 km only)
• SIURI- SURI Railway Station (18 km appox)

Suri, West bengal is a quiet big city. It has good network of railway.

9) Ujaani (also Ujjaini)

Address:  Mangalkot 16 km from Guskara station under Burdwan district

Location: On the bank of River Ajay, know as Maa Mangal Chandi Temple of Mongalkot

Nearest Railway Station: Prefer Bolpur Railway Station and then Bus/Taxi Travel

This is one of the shaktipeeth that is too hard to find by Trip Colors team. Fixed location of the town and the temple is quiet uncertain. So, please confirm it by locals.

10) Vibhas Shaktipeeth 

Address: Tamluk,  Purba Medinipur, West Bengal, India

Location: The temple is situated in Tamluk town of Dist. Purba Medinipur, which near Kolkata. (80 km)

Nearest Railway Stations:

• TAMLUK- TMZ (3 km)

11) Tarapith Temple

Address: Tarapith, West Bengal 731233

Location: Tarapith is a developing town near Rampurhat in Birbhum district. Tarapith is the home of Maa Tara Temple.

Nearest Railway Stations: 

• Tarapith Road (650 m - 1 km)
• Rampur Hat Railway station (9.1 km)

Both stations are not very far away. From Tarapith Road Railway Station some buses may be available till Tarapith bus stand, situated few meters from the temple.

12) Nalateswari Temple

Address: Nalhati, Birbhum, W.B. (India)

Location: This temple is situated in just 1.5 km from the railway station. Nalahati Temple Road,Nalahati Township, Nalhati. 

Nearest Railway Station: 

• Nalhati Railway Station (1.5 km)
• Rampur Hat Railway station (16.1 km)

It is better to prefer Nalhati but many trains only stop at Rampur Hat. There is also another railway station known as Tarapith Road which is appox. 38 km far from the Temple.

13) Bhramari Devi

Address: Jalpaiguri, West Bengal

Location: This temple is situated near the border of Bangladesh and Sikkim. Jalpaiguri is officially in West Bengal but its traditional culture matches with Sikkim and bangladesh.

Nearest Railway Station:

• New Jalpaiguri Railway Station is the best option to travel.
